The Annapurna Sanctuary treks leads to the base camp (4130 m) of Mt. Annapurna (8091m) 10th highest mountain in the world in a relaxed way. Annapurna (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Machapuchhre/Fishtail (6993 m) and Hiunchuli (6441 m) are the Major Mountains which are visible during this trek. The trail goes through terraced rice fields, lush rhododendron forests and high altitude scenery. It is possible to do this trek in all seasons; though, in the winter season Base Camp can sometimes be closed due to high snow level. In spring season fully bloomed rhododendron forests adds extra allure in this trek. The lodges in the Annapurna Region are well equipped and comfortable.

Annapurna Sanctuary Trek 14 Days

DAY 01: KATHMANDU ARRIVAL
Altitude: 1300m/4264ft
Meals: N/A

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, representative of Bisesh Treks will meet and assist at airport and transfers to hotel. Rest of the day will be free and in the evening, there will be tour briefing of trekking in evening, overnight stay in Kathmandu.

DAY 02: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING AND TREK PREPARATION
Sightseeing: Pashupatinath Bouddhanath Swayambunath & Kathmandu Durbar square
Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast there will be a guided tour to four UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. The sites visited will be Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, Buddhist stupa of Swoyambhunath and Bouddhanath, and ancient royal palace complex of Kathmandu Durbar Square. After sightseeing drop back to hotel and overnight stay in Kathmandu.

DAY 03: KATHMANDU POKHARA FLIGHT AND TREK TO ULLERI
Altitude: 2050 m/6725 ft
Flight time: 30 minutes
Trek to Ulleri: 5 - 6 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

Early morning Kathmandu to Pokhara flight. Amazing views of the Himalayas is visible from the right side of airplane. After reaching Pokhara drive to NayaPul and start the trek. The trek passes through sub-tropical valley forests, occasionally on the carved trail on the side of the cliff. Lunch will be provided on the way before crossing the Modi River on a suspension bridge to the village of Tikhedhunga. The uphill climb to Ulleri Hill with thousands of steps will really prove a test of our stamina reach Ulleri by late afternoon and overnight in Ulleri village.

DAY 04: ULLERI TO GHOREPANI
Altitude: 2,750 m/ 9,020 ft
Trek to Ghorepani: 4 - 5 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

After breakfast; start the trek; the trail ascend to the Ghorepani village. Ghorepani is a small village which have two parts; upper and lower parts we stop at the higher part of the Ghorepani village that offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains including Annapurna South and Nilgiri mountains overnight stay in Ghorepani village.

DAY 05: GHOREPANI TO TADAPANI
Altitude: 2,700m/8,860ft
Trek to TADAPANI: 6 - 7 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

Early in the morning we walk through the steep trial to reach the viewpoint of Poonhill (3,210m/10,529ft).The sunrise looks amazing from here, views of the mighty Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges can be seen from Poonhill. Afterwards we return back to Ghorepani followed by trek to the nearby ridge in the east. While descending to Tadapani we need to go through the rhododendron forest and we will pass magnificent waterfalls. Overnight stay at Tadapani.

DAY 06: TADAPANI TO CHHOMRONG
Altitude: 2170m/7120ft
Trek to Chhomrong: 6 - 7 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

The trial descends from Tadapani through a dense rhododendron forest it opens up to picturesque terraced fields followed by ascending trial and passes a few waterfalls before reaching a suspension bridge. A few more miles of uphill and downhill trek and we reach our destination Chhomrong. It is a beautiful village located on the lap of the giant Annapurna massive overnight stay in Chhomrong.

DAY 07: CHHOMRONG TO BAMBOO
Altitude: 2310m/7578ft
Trek to Chhomrong: 4 - 5 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

After leaving Chhomrong the trail descends via 2500 stone steps and crosses the Chhomrong Khola on suspension bridge; it is an uphill climb to Sinuwa. Later we pass through a beautiful forest to Kuldihar followed by an easy downhill walk to Bamboo overnight in Bamboo.

DAY 08: BAMBOO TO DEURALI
Altitude: 3230m/10,595ft
Trek to Chhomrong: 3 - 4 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

The trail pass through the bamboo forests then ascend steadily with fewer steep sections. It is only after reaching Himalaya Hotel that the forest opens up and we see sun again with astonishing views of the glacial river below. Trial leads to a steep climb through a much drier forest before reaching Hinku Cave. From here trail drop closer to the river before climbing again to Deurali, the most picturesque stretch of the day Overnight stay in Deurali.

DAY 09: DEURALI TO ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP VIA MACCHAPUCHHRE BASE CAMP
Altitude: Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft), Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m/12135 ft)
Trek to Annapurna base camp: 5 - 6 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

The hike from Bagar to Machhapuchhre Base Camp is somewhat exhausting. From Machhapuchhre base camp majestic views can be seen of Machhapuchhre along with Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna which is certainly a rewarding experience. The vegetation disappears on our way to ABC and the path widens as we enter the Annapurna sanctuary. Overnight at Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 10: ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP TO BAMBOO
Trek to Bamboo: 7 - 8 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

From the Annapurna base camp we trek back to Bamboo. Today’s trek is downhill so it should be easy to trek back. Overnight stay at Bamboo.

DAY 11: BAMBOO TO JHINU DANDA
Max Altitude: (1760m/5770 ft)
Trek to Jhinu Danda: 5 - 6 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

From Bamboo, it is an uphill trek to Kuldighar followed by a downhill walk to Chhomrong Khola. Afterwards we climb the stone steps to Chhomrong then the trail descends to Jhinu Danda, where we will be resting for the night. One enjoy hot springs just 15-20 minute downhill walk from Jhinu Danda to appease our aching body. Overnight in Jhinu Danda.

Day 12: JHINUDANDA TO NAYAPULTO POKHARA
Trek to Nayapul: 5 - 6 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch

On our way to Naya Pul from Jhinu Danda we can enjoy amazing hill landscape of western Nepal. Lunch will be arranged on the way. After reaching NayaPul we board our vehicle to Pokhara. Rest of the day will be free to explore lakeside area; overnight in Pokhara.

Day 13: POKHARA TO KATHMANDU
Meals: Breakfast Dinner

After breakfast take flight to Kathmandu upon arrival in Kathmandu transfer to hotel. We enjoy the day leisurely or catch up on some last minute shopping. To celebrate the successful completion of our journey, we will have a farewell dinner in the evening overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 14: DEPARTURE
Meals: Breakfast

Morning will be comparatively free and closer to the time of your flight; you will be transferred to the airport in time to board your flight for onward journey.
