DAY 01: KATHMANDU ARRIVAL

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will meet and assist at airport and transfers to hotel. Rest of the day will be free and in the evening, there will be tour briefing of trek, Overnight in Kathmandu.

DAY 02: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING
Sightseeing: Pashupatinath Bouddhanath Swayambunath & Kathmandu Durbar square
Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast there will be a guided tour to four UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. The sites visited will be Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, Buddhist stupa of Swyambhunath and Bouddhanath, and ancient royal palace complex of Kathmandu Durbar Square. After sightseeing drop back to hotel and overnight stay in Kathmandu.

DAY 03: KATHMANDU LUKLA PHAKDING
Altitude: 2,652m/8,700ft
Flight time: 40 min
Trek to Phakding: 3 - 4 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

After breakfast, transfer to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport for a flight to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft), gateway of Everest region. After an adventurous flight for 40 min we reach the Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla. After arrival at Lukla, our other crew members will join us; we start our trek through the flourishing village of Lukla until we reach Phakding. For acclimatization, we only have a short trek today. If interested we can take a side trip to a nearby monastery, overnight in Phakding.

DAY 04: PHAKDING TO NAMCHE BAZAAR
Altitude: 3,440m/11,280 ft
Trek to Namche: 5 - 6 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

After breakfast start for trek, trail will go through beautiful pine forest, there are many suspension bridegs on Dudh Koshi River, one of which is the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. Mount Thamserku (6618m) is visible in today’s trial. After crossing the settlement of Benkar, Chumoa, Monjo, we reach the check post and entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. We need to pass through the last village of Jorsale before reaching Namche Bazaar. The trail goes through the forests and bridges until we reach the confluence of the DudhKoshi and BhoteKoshi rivers. After a final steep ascent of about two hours we get first sight of Mt. Everest over the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. We still need to hike about 1.5 hours to reach Namche Bazaar, a gateway to Mt. Everest and main trading centre of this region, overnight at Namche Bazaar.

DAY 05: NAMCHE BAZAAR ACCLIMATIZATION
Altitude: 3,440m/11,280 ft

This is the first of the two days set aside for "acclimatization". It is recommended to stay active during the rest day too. We can go for a day's hike to Thame or visiting Khunde or relaxing and exploring Namche Bazaar itself. Namche Bazzar is the main centre of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices, ATMs, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday. If we trek a few hundred vertical feet during the day, it will help us to properly acclimatize. Our guides will take us to the Tourist Visitor Center near the headquarter of the Sagarmatha National Park where we can observe variety of things related to the first Everest ascenders, Sherpa culture and learn about the various plant and animal life of the Everest region.

DAY 06: NAMCHE BAZZAR TO KHUMJUNG
Altitude: 3810 m/12500 ft
Trek to Khumjung: 4 - 5 hours

After breakfast, ascend to the famous airstrip of Syangboche, right above the airstrip is the Everest View Hotel. It takes 2 hours until we reach the Khumjung village. The valley of Khumjung is surrounded by the snowy peaks of Kondge and Thamserku and the sacred peak Khumbila, hosts a well known monastery that houses a yeti scalp. We also visit Hillary School which is at the same site.

DAY 07: KHUMJUNG TO TENGBOCHE
Altitude: 3,870m/12694ft
Trek to Tengboche: 4 - 5 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

The trial descent down to Dudhkoshi River and pass through little villages on the way;  after descend we can have lunch at riverside and after lunch we take trek for ascending trail 2 hours through pine and fir forest to reach a small hill Tyangboche which have the famous Tengboche Gumba to explore for the day. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse (8501m), Kwangde (6187m), Tawachee (6542m), Ama Dablan, Kantega and Thamserku provide an magnificent views of Himalayan giants. Tengboche also boasts famous Tengboche Monastery, over night at lodge tengboche.

DAY 08: TENGOBOCHE TO KYANGJUMA
Altitude: 3,570m/11,710ft
Trek to Kyangjuma: 4 - 5 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

The trial from Tengboche takes a steep descent of about 1500ft/500m through rhododendron bushes and fir trees to the Dudh Koshi River. After cross the first bridge over Dudh Koshi on our return trip at Phunki Tenga, we pass the village of Tashinga and Sansa before finally reaching beautiful village of Kyangjuma. From here we can appreciate the gorgeous Ama-dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest, overnight at Kyangjuma.

DAY 09: KYANGJUMA TO MONJO
Altitude: 2,840m/9,315ft
Trek to Monjo: 4 - 5 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

The trail clings to the steep wooded slope beyond Kyangjuma with several bends. One can have some time in Namche. A steep descent from Namche leads to the suspension bridge crossing the DudhKosi River near the confluence of the Dhudh Koshi and the Bhote Koshi Rivers. We are out of the Sagarmatha National Park after exiting from its official entrance near Monjo and finally reach Monjo Village overnight in Monjo.

DAY 10: MONJO TO LUKLA
Trek to Lukla: 4 - 5 hours
Meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner

Today is the last day of trek at lower altitude in the Everest region. Most of the trail is flat although there are some descends and brief ascents too. In the distant Kwangde peak is visible. The Sherpa villages on the trail displays faith in Buddhism and cultural practices associated with it as prayer stones and prayer flags flutter in the wind. The trail crosses Dhud Koshi River three times through the prayer flags strewn suspension bridges and also cross one of its tributary, Thado Koshi once. The final ascent of about 45 minutes from Chheplung takes us to Lukla, This last evening in the mountains is the ideal opportunity to spend some moments with whole crew as the porters will not accompany with us to Kathmandu. Overnight at Lukla.

Day 11: LUKLA TO KATHMANDU
Meals: Breakfast Dinner

We take early morning flight to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu transfer to hotel. Day will be free to rest and relax or for shopping. To celebrate the successful completion of our journey, we will have a farewell dinner in the evening, overnight in Kathmandu.

DAY 12: DEPARTURE
Meals: Breakfast

Morning will be comparatively free and closer to the time of your flight; you will be transferred to the airport in time to board your flight for onward journey.
